Creative Chalk Board Game
Create your own life-sized board game for your kids to design and play.
This was a very fun idea for the kids - once they got going, the ideas started flowing. In this game, the kids create their own life-sized board game where they are the pawns.
What you need to get started:
• a big concrete area to drawn and play on.
• chalk.
• one dice per person.
• draw or write your ideas for the board game spaces.
Get started:
First, you need a pathway(s), possibly with forks in the road (It’s nice to have options), and dividers along the path.
Secondly, you need the ideas to be written on the individual spaces but not too many or else it will be too hard to get to the end…so leave lots of safe spots.
Thirdly, figure out the order of your players. You can go by birthday, age, rock paper scissors, or roll for highest number.
Change the game as you play. If it’s too hard, remove some of the spots that make you go back. If it’s too easy, add some more challenges to the game.
Have fun!
