Drawing Prompt - River and Mountain Landscape

turn a landscape photo into mixed media abstract painting

My goal today is to take this cold river and mountain photo and turn in into something a little more loose my mixed-media tools. You might want to try the same thing or paint this photo how you see it. It has great elements in the foreground, middleground, and background, so have fun with it! I don’t love sharp sunbeams like that so I’m going to adjust that light source to be more subtle. I also encourage you to see this as inspiration instead of something to copy exactly.
